Privacy information for the SubPilot Android app, including local storage, purchases, exchange-rate requests, and optional icon fetching.
SubPilot is archived and no longer available on Google Play. This policy is retained for existing users and historical reference.

SubPilot is a personal finance tracking app for managing subscriptions, recurring bills, one-time payments, reminders, and related planning on your device.

2. Overview
SubPilot is designed to work primarily on your device.
- No account is required to use the core app.
- Your finance records are stored locally on your device.
- We do not operate a user account backend for the core functionality.
- We do not show ads.
3. Data stored locally on your device
SubPilot may store the following information locally on your device:
- subscriptions, recurring bills, and one-time payment records
- account names and related finance data you enter
- reminder settings and notification preferences
- analytics, forecast, and app display settings
- app preferences
- a local Pro status cache required for app functionality
This information is stored locally to make the app function.
4. Data sent off your device
Although SubPilot is local-first, some features may involve network requests to third-party services.
a) Purchases and Pro unlock
If you buy the one-time Pro unlock or restore it on your device, purchase-related information may be processed by Google Play and RevenueCat in order to:
- complete the one-time purchase
- validate Pro entitlement status
- restore the purchase
- prevent fraud and billing abuse
SubPilot itself does not require a user account for this.
b) Exchange rates
If the app refreshes exchange rates, it may send a network request to a third-party exchange-rate provider to retrieve current currency conversion data.
c) Icons and favicons
If the app fetches service icons or favicons from external sources, limited request data such as your device making the request and standard network metadata may be processed by those third-party services.
5. Import, export, backup, and sharing
SubPilot may allow you to import or export data in formats such as JSON or CSV.
These actions are initiated by you. Exported files are created only when you choose to do so, and imported files are processed only when you select them.
6. Notifications
SubPilot may use local notifications to remind you about upcoming payments, subscriptions, or bills.
These reminders are scheduled on your device. On Android, the app may use system capabilities needed to restore reminders after reboot and schedule exact alarms.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your finance entries with advertisers.
Data may be processed by third-party providers only where necessary for:
- billing and entitlement verification
- exchange-rate retrieval
- icon and favicon retrieval
8. Data retention and deletion
Because SubPilot is primarily local-first, your entered finance data remains on your device unless you delete it.
You can remove your data by:
- deleting entries inside the app
- removing exported files you created
- uninstalling the app
Purchase-related records may also be retained by Google Play or RevenueCat according to their own policies.
9. Children
SubPilot is not directed specifically to children.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at the published Privacy Policy URL.
